If you think your dog has an allergy, you could try our elimination diet…

This involves taking your dog off everything and just feeding rabbit.

Rabbit is a ‘novel’ protein, which means dogs are unlikely to be allergic to it. Rabbit is also a ‘cooling meat’ which wont raise body temperature or irritate the skin allergy more.

Start feeding single source rabbit for AT LEAST 3 weeks, in this time we would hope to see an improvement in the condition. But to fully clear the skin it may take 6 weeks.

At this point you can start to re-introduce other proteins, please ask for advice when doing this.
